hi. I was thinking that, because there's a 4000 character maximum in the reply field for posting, that maybe below the textbox, there could be a read-only field that would let you know how many characters you've used so far. Or how many you have left to use. It'd change as you type, of course. I've seen this on other sites, and I think that it'd be beneficial on here. Thank you

Actually, I'm not sure ifit was fully enforced before. There may have been a bug in the code.
Also fixed the weird-looking text boxes. Sorry.

I agree with Bob. And while I never thought about it before, now that this is available, it is nice to know how many characters you have left in case you want to say more.

Hello Admins of the zone. I was looking at where you'd normally go to change up your login message and I was wondering if there could be any possible way that you could put how many characters are there and/or remaining kinda like what you did for the boards which is very helpful by the way, thanks for that. Because if you knew how many characters were there and how many are left reamining then you could write something and not worry about half of the message being cut off and I know for a fact alot of people like to have long login messages on here so.. it's just a thought. I figured I'd write this in here since it was concerning an earlier issue with letter count boxes.
we may expand that to pages like that one. Not sure yet. You get 250 characters there I believe. For boxes like that one, it'll just not let you type if you go over.
